Andrew Markus  THE STRUGGLE FOR ABORIGINAL RIGHTS

Andrew will draw on material from the book he has recently co-edited with
Bain Attwood, The struggle for Aboriginal rights. His earlier works as
author and co-editor include Fear and hatred: purifying Australia and
California 1850 - 1901, Who are our enemies? Racism and the working class
in Australia, and Surrender Australia? Geoffrey Blainey and Australian
immigration.

Here's your chance to hear Peter before he heads off to his new position in
the US. Well known as an animal rights activist and Senate candidate for
the Greens, Peter's new book is Ethics into action: Henry Spira and the
Animal Rights Movement. His earlier works include Animal Liberation, How
are we to live?, Rethinking life and death and (with Bob Brown) The Greens.
