BEA CAMPBELL CANCELLATION
We regret to announce that the lecture by Bea Campbell scheduled for Friday
9 July has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. Bea will
be in Melbourne the following week and EMILY's List have taken up the event.
A lecture will be held on: Wednesday 14 July, 7.30pm at Trades Hall; cost

MARILYN WARING TOUR
The Trust is proud to present a public speaking tour by leading New Zealand
feminist, economist and former parliamentarian, Dr Marilyn Waring. Dr Waring
is urging women to become more involved in all levels of the political
process, from grassroots community activism to formal parliamentary
positions. She will speak at Melbourne Town Hall on Sunday 18 July, 7.30pm;
Her Majesty's Theatre, Ballarat on Monday, 19 July, 7.30pm; and Frankston
Cultural Centre on Tuesday, 20 July, 7.30pm. Tickets are $10/$7 concession

WOMEN & FINANCE SEMINAR
Thanks to ANZ and Bank of Melbourne, we are presenting a terrific all-day
program on financial management on Saturday, 31 July from 10am-3pm at Deakin
University, Stonnington Campus, 336 Glenferrie Road, Malvern. Topics include
superannuation, young women & finance, building a share portfolio, and small

THE 25/1 RAFFLE
The Trust is running a fantastic raffle at the moment with 40 prizes up for

HUMPS NOT DUMPS
Humps Not Dumps are a group of ten vibrant women preparing to embark upon a
journey through the South Australian desert to bring worldwide awareness of
the danger of nuclear waste dumps. The expedition is in response to a call
for support from indigenous women elders of Kupa Piti Kunka Tjuta. The women
are calling for financial support to help their campaign; all donations are

HEALTH INFORMATION FORUM
Women's Health Victoria is holding a consumer-defined, evidence-based health
information forum on Thursday 29 July from 9.30am-4.30pm at the Queen
Victoria Women's Centre. The forum will examine the pros and cons for women
of evidence-based medical approaches. Cost is $65 with concession available
and includes a light lunch, morning & afternoon tea. Places are limited so
