Thanks to everyone who sent birthday greetings and "thank you"
messages regarding my part in establishing the Leftlink list.
I am proud to have been involved in the establishment of Leftlink but
I also want to acknowledge the contributions of other people who
have kept it going.
I have had little involvement in the day to day running of the list for
the last year. It has been Alister Air who has kept the list ticking
over for most of that time. I believe the list would have died if Alister
hadn't stepped into the breach a year ago. It's thanks to him that
we're still going strong!
There have been many others who have helped out with the running
of the list over the last three years - John Wiseman, Laila
Fanebust, Barbara Romeril, Denise Tzumli, Peter Ewer, Katrina
Beard, Paul Canning and Jim Crosthwaite. We were also fortunate
in receiving funding from the SEARCH foundation for our second
year of operation.
Finally, it takes more than a moderator to make an effective list.
For a participatory list like Leftlink, the support of subscribers and
contributors is crucial to its survival. We can all be proud to be part
of the first Broad Left Australian email list!

moderators on a occasional or regular basis. If you are interested
in developing some new skills while helping out with the running of
