I have many classroom resources, which others may be interested in too,
including

i) Edbiz blackline master books and other Edbiz textbooks stuff mostly for
English, and of recent dates.

ii. Website for Alternatilve Ideas to encourage everyone, including
students, to use their brains for social innovating - working on ideas and
projects to help solve social problems and improve the quality of life.
http://www.vicnet.net.au/~ozideas run by ACSION, the Australian Centre for
Social Innovations, (ie vy)

This is linked with the British Institute for Social Inventions, which
publishes annually, runs a competition, and has a slightly more 'pop'
Website, Global Ideas Bank http://www.globalideasbank.org

The UK ISI has been important in promoting many great ideas and projects
that are now widely accepted, eg permaculture, conservation methods,
natural dying, sustainable life-style, many community groups, Hippocratic
Oath for scientists, Index of Quality of Life to compare with GDP, etc.

In UK 'social inventing' workshops are popular in some schools, and the
students then carry out their ideas to improve schools and local community
life. It is popular in English studies, for students' reading, thinking and
writing, instead of just practising writing fiction and advertising copy.

iii. Literacy for secondary school students with reading problems.
This includes an experimental cartoon video which gives an overview of the
English writing system and what it helps to know to read and write, based
on my lifetime's work as a psychologist supposed to diagnose 'dyslexics'
who were basically just confused. It is too irreverent to get
establishment support. At present I am
breaking my heart and my finance trying to get a professional version made.
Media students and schools might be interested in working on this project,
as a way of promoting interest in print and how to read, among other things.

iv. A houseful of books that are out of print.

You might like to ring about what might be useful to you.
