Please come if you can and bring others, at 9am or as soon as possible, to
the World Heritage Embassy which is protesting about mining at Jabiluka.
The embassy is in Fawkner Park (south east corner), near cnr Commercial
Road and St Kilda Road in Melbourne.
Police directed the embassy to camp there instead of in front of North Ltd
a few days ago. Now they are complaining, and the embassy is being told
that the park is being damaged. The word is that they will be evicted early
tomorrow. Come at 9am if you can.
The embassy is trying to stop damage to Kakadu National Park, and to uphold
the values of the world heritage system, when the government has spent $1
million lobbying UNESCO to ignore the scientific studies.
