Laurence is a member of the Executive Committee of the Swedish
branch of Militant. He also holds a position on the Internal Executive
Committee of the CWI.
Laurence is an ex-member of the National Executive of the British
Labour Party. His father, Ken Coates, is a British MP for the European
Parliament and also a prominent socialist author.
Where : New International Bookshop, Trades Hall. (Cnr of Lygon &
Victoria St, Carlton Sth. Conference opens at 10am on both days.
