The vote in East Timor is due next week. On Sunday, on the eve of this
historic poll, Joaquim Santos of Fretilin will be speaking of the way
forward for the people of East Timor.
He will be addressing a session at Marxism for the New Millennium, the
conference hosted by Socialist Worker at Trades Hall in Melbourne this
weekend, August 27-29.
The session on East Timor is at 11.45am (prompt!). Richard Bailey, who
writes on East Timor for Socialist Worker, will also be speaking.
