Victorian Leftlinkers are warmly invited to an evening of Food, Fun and
Socialist Feminist Optimism.
Welcome back Debbie Brennan, Marita Borton and Alison Thorne from the US
Pacific Northwest, where they attended the Freedom Socialist Party
'forward to the new millennium' conference. They'll report on this
historic socialist-feminist gathering, and thank all of the friends,
comrades and work mates who gave generously to help our trio of feminist
radicals to fly across the Pacific to participate.
After watching (or avoiding) the AFL Grand Final you can attend a
socialist-feminist kick off for our international $30,000 fund drive -
help keep the presses rolling for the Freedom Socialist Newspaper,
International Voice of Revolutionary Feminism.
Date: Saturday 25 September
Time: 6.00 pm (To avoid clashing with another very important Melbourne
event!)
Venue: 20 Lowther Street Alphington (Melway 31 B11, 3 mins from
Alphington Station)
Food: A three course banquet consisting of tasty home-cooked dishes from
Armenia, Bahrain, Egypt, Greece,Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Yemen.
