The 1999 International Human Rights Day demonstration is scheduled to be held on Friday 10 December 1999 at 6pm at the GPO, corner Bourke and Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. Volunteer marshals are requested to meet at the GPO at 5:30 pm. The aim of the demonstration is to focus on human rights in the Asia Pacific. The demonstration is proposed in solidarity with the people of East Timor and in solidarity with the workers' movement. All speakers are invited to make women's rights a part of their contribution.
