On Monday, Treena Lenthal and Ciaron O'Reilly,
the Jabiluka Ploughshares, surrended themselves
to security and police at the Ranger Uranium mine
in Kakadu National Park.
Having completed their two week criminal sentence in
1998, they are now serving 66 days in Darwin's Berrimah
gaol for failure to pay costs. They owe DPP's court
costs of $1415, and restitution of $5258.
They would appreciate letters of support sent to each
of them individually:

are there enough out there willing and able to make a community response to
the 'authorities'?
suggestions:
-cancel charges and debt - they are political prisoners
-those who made these decisions pay what lenthal and oreilly were asked to pay
-authorities apologise and stop the mine - respect self determination
-immediate review of state relations with first peoples - genocide prevention
