VCOSS is offering free seminars on how to implement the GST in your
organisation.
These seminars are being held throughout Victoria, and commence in early
March. Any Victorian non-profit is eligible to attend.

SPECIAL NOTE: Please note that VCOSS is recommending that all those
Victorian non-profits who need to register for an ABN do so
IMMEDIATELY. From July 1, organisations without an ABN could suffer severe
cash problems: they may be ineligible to claim back GST expended, and they
may have to pay tax of 48.5% on their grants and other income. Current
estimates of tax-office delays for issuing the ABN are at least 8 weeks;
early registration is advisable.
