The Davos foundation is the Australian section of the pro-market World
Economic Forum. The conference advocates "progress not restraint" in the
privatisation and deregulation of the power industry, as well as the
expansion of nuclear power. Speakers include: Leon Louw, CEO, Free Market
Foundation, South Africa; Greg Bourne, Managing Director, BP Australia,
Alan Fels, Chairman, Australian Consumer and Competition Commission;
Francesco Vemneri, Project Leader, Los Almos Laboratory, Derek Robinson,
Director, UK Atomic Energy Agency.
