Free Seed Liberation Front Qld Pineapple action
Concerns over genetically engineered foods continue to grow, especially
with recent mainstream media coverage of secret trial crops, lack of
adequate regulation and Australia being used as a production field for the
overseas market. While the lobbying and community campaigning against
genetically modified foods steps up, other more direction action has also
been taking place.
Earlier this month the Free Seed Liberation Front expressed their concern
about genetically engineered organisms by destroying a test crop of
genetically modified pineapples. Earth Matters has been in contact with the
group to discuss their actions, but due to legal reasons they were unable
to appear on the show. Today we hear a re-creation of an interview
conducted with the Free Seed Liberation Front via email.

Doctors for Native Forests
Doctors for Native Forests is a Victorian group which aims to promote the
conservation of the remaining native forests in their state. They're not
only looking to end clearfelling and woodchipping, they're also looking to
increase the numbers of doctors involved in the public campaign to protect
native forests. Today we hear from spokesperson Dr Nigel Strauss.
