A conference for all those concerned about the rise of Australian
militarism will be held in Sydney on Saturday, May 13.
"Australian Militarism in an Increasingly Dangerous World" is sponsored by
the Campaign for International Cooperation and Disarmament, the Central
Coast Peace Forum, Earthworker, the Nuclear Disarmament Party, the
Anti-Bases Campaign Coalition and Socialist Worker.
Speakers include:
* Graeme Cheeseman, lecturer at the Australian Defence Force Academy
* Ji Ungpakorn, lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok
* Vikki John, national coordinator, Bougainville Freedom Movement
* Denis Doherty, Anti-Bases Campaign Coalition
* Peter McGregor, lecturer at the University of Western Sydney
* Jude McCulloch, lecturer at Deakin University
* Damien Lawson, anti-militarism campaigner
* Alison Stewart, editor of Socialist Worker
