TO GENE ACTIVISTS AND OTHER INTERESTED PEOPLE New genetic testing results show that Kelloggs are continuing to monopolise the current lack of labelling for GE food to sell around two-thirds of Australian consumers something they don't want. Testing laboratory Biotest in WA recently found GE soya DNA in the soya flour in Kelloggs All Bran Soy 'n Fibre. An AC Neilsen opinion poll carried out in April found that 68% of Australian consumers dislike the idea of consuming GE food, while an April survey in Good Business Sense magazine showed 71% unwilling to buy it. The results further extend consumer freedom of choice. Anyone who wishes to express their views can reach Kelloggs on freecall 1800 000 474, or by email at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Kelloggs have recently been targeted by Greenpeace for going GE-free in Europe in response to consumer demand, but not in the US, where they are likely to be using GE corn. A recent Greenpeace protest outside Kelloggs' head office at Battle Creek, Michigan involved a wicked-looking tiger called FrankenTony.
