THE MOTHERS OF PLAZA DE MAYO ASSOCIATION DENNOUNCE
That in the early hours of Saturday 1 July, the intelligence services once
again invaded and sacked the Mother's Bookshop.
Over the past 5 years, the Mothers' House (their headquarters) has been
burgled and attacked 6 times, our president's home 3 times and the Bookshop,
3 months after it opened, had the words "LONG LIVE MASSERA*" and "OLD
WHORES" painted on its walls and was burgled a few days later.
The intelligence services can't deal with the fact that the Mothers count
with the solidarity of our people, who are the ones who make possible the
(Mother's) Newspaper, Bookshop and (Popular) University. The Bookshop is
situated at Hiplito Yrigoyen 1440 (Buenos Aires), across from offices of
ANSES (the National Social Security Administration), which is guarded 24
hours a day by two police officers. The Police Department headquarters is
around the corner, and two blocks away is the National Congress building.
Due to all of this we have no doubt as to who are the ones who attempt to
subject and fill everyone them with fear. The Mothers are convinced that
the struggle against the enemy is not over, even more so with this
government who is a servant of the United States, and that the enemy grows
and hides among the seats of the Congress.
