Kupa Piti Kungkas on Race Around Oz!!

The Senior Aboriginal women of the Kupa Piti Kungka Tjuta, custodians and
elders from northern South Australian, will appear on this week's episode
of "Race Around Oz" talking about their journey to save their country from
a nuclear waste dump.
The episode was recorded by racer "Dahlia Abdel Aziz" earlier in the year,
and will go to air as her final piece for the "Race around Oz" [See
www.abc.net.au/race, and follow the links to Dahlia's stories]
The story is filmed at various sites in and around the Kungkas country, and
uncovers their strength both in their culture, and in surviving the nuclear
tests at Maralinga and Emu field. This piece uncovers their determination
to stand up for the future of their country.
