___ BIG CHANCE FOR BATTERY HENS

BEST CHANCE YET TO STOP CRUELTY BY BANNING BATTERY CAGES

- CONTACT ROB KERIN NOW!!!!

On August 18 2000, the SA Agriculture Minister Rob Kerin will meet with all

other state and federal Agriculture Ministers (the ARMCANZ meeting) to
decide the fate of Australia's 11 million battery hens. Battery cages mean

that hens spend their whole life in incredibly cramped conditions, never
able to stretch their wings, and with nowhere to perch, nest or dustbath.
You've seen the pictures on TV: debeaked, defeathered, deformed and
miserable birds.

**There are cruelty free alternatives.**

AT THIS CRUCIAL TIME, BE PART OF THE EFFORT TO BAN BATTERY CAGES

Phone or write to "our" Minister, and ask him to use his vote at the
ARMCANZ meeting to phase out battery egg production. They're doing it in
Europe, and other state Ministers are in favour of a phase out.

On Monday advertisements will appear in newspapers calling for people to
phone or fax Minister Rob Kerin and ask him to support a phase out of
battery cages.

ADD YOUR VOICE OR FAX TO THE MANY CALLS WHICH WILL SEND MINISTER KERIN ON HIS
WAY TO THIS IMPORTANT MEETING:
