Everyone says that - all over the world - the Left is exhausted, devoid of
ideas and losing ground. Capitalism deftly skips and dances the global
waltz, confounding everyone with its energy.
But the Left is anything but exhausted: it's just going through an identity
crisis, a metamorphosis.
While the acolytes of the Third Way enthuse about the Left moving to occupy
the 'radical centre", a new global protest movement is on the march - an
anarchic, decentralized alliance of culture-jammers, anti-capitalists,
guerilla gardeners, and seasoned campaigners from Third World NGOs.
Their motto: our resistance must be as global as their economy.
It's the Left, Jim....but not as we know it.
