THE PROCEDURE
It's Friday night in the big city, and on the uppermost floor of The
Pyramid, Mike Newman, State Minister for Health, prepares for one last
radio interview before he calls it a day and heads home to his wife.
Ahead of them, a weekend on the Peninsula, as the guests of a corporate
executive. A weekend of skasing and pissing on with the gosperous people
with the beautiful views.
But fate has other plans for him and tonight, Mike will receive some
news that will bring him a gutful of trouble. Mike Newman will enter the
dark night of the soul. He may never return.
THE PROCEDURE is a quirky comedy about politics and poo. Management and
meat. Cancer and choirboys. Ethics and anaesthetics. The pathology of
power, the chemistry of corruption.
THE PROCEDURE will make you laugh until you cry.
The Procedure opens at the North Melbourne Town Hall Arts House, Corner
of Errol and Queensberry Streets, North Melbourne, on Thursday 2
November 2000. Previews 31 October and 1 November. Closes Sat 18
November. Mon/Tue show starts 6.30 pm, Wed to Sat 8 pm plus 4 pm
Matinee each Saturday. No show Sundays.Sausage Sizzle and bar opens
one hour before each show (vegetarians catered for). Tickets $20 full,
$14 Conc, $10 previews. Bookings on 9326 6738.
