Public Meeting to Welcome Refugees to Canberra
Tuesday 29 August, 5pm, Griffin Centre Rehearsal Rm, Bunda St, Civic

Jeremy Pyner, Secretary, ACT Trades and Labour Council
Radwa Hadid, Volunteer working with Iraqi refugees
Isabell Coe, Aboriginal Tent Embassy
Tanya McConvell, Refugees Action Committee
Chairperson: Prof John Warhurst, ANU
The meeting was called when we learned that about 50 mostly Iraqi and
Afghani refugees were being released from detention and sent to Canberra.
Come and show that refugees are welcome in our city. Come and join us in
condemning the Federal Government's treatment of refugees. We are inviting
people to bring a card or small gift of welcome.
