Recently launched by students at La Trobe University in Melbourne, the La
Trobe Film Club is offering independent and alternative filmmakers of all
kinds a venue to screen their work.
We are especially looking for documentaries on underreported recent events,
political issues, etc, made from a non-mainstream perspective.
Non-narrative and experimental films/videos are also welcome.
Screenings are being held at the Agora Cinema at La Trobe University on
Thursdays at 6pm, beginning this Thursday Sep 21 with a presentation of The
Scarlet Empress plus student shorts. Entry is restricted to members (annual
membership cost is $20; concession $15; La Trobe students free).
