Kerry Nettle, co-ordinator of the No New Women's Jail campaign, today said
=8C This is an important campaign to support because it has been proven
again and again and most recently by the NSW Upper House Select Committee
into Increased Prison Population, that prison is not the best place to
rehabilitate women.=B9

=8CIt is also an opportunity to view some brillant Australian short films
and learn about the experiences and struggle of ordinary women, children
and Indigenous people caught in the prison system.=B9 continued Ms Nettle.
