Join the first protest since Bracks' outrageous support for police violence
at Crown.
The S11 Alliance has called a rally on Tuesday, September 26, to:
* Show solidarity with the huge demo in Prague the same day against the IMF
and the World Bank, and to demand Cancel Third World Debt.
* Celebrate S11-13.
* To march on parliament to "give Bracks what he deserves".
The rally will gather at 5.30pm outside Nike, corner of Bourke and Swanston
sts, in the city.
Speakers include:
* Michele O'Neil, state secretary of the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union.
* Kevin Bracken, Patrick wharfie and secretary of the Port Melbourne ALP
branch.
* Jordy Hunter, women's officer with NUS (Vic).
The rally has been endorsed by groups including: NUS Women's Dept
(federal); NUS Women's Dept (Vic); Victorian Greens, Anatolian Cultural
Centre, Socialist Worker.
