RTN 2000 Collective has been meeting to organise the annual RTN March
and Rally.
Meeting are Wed, 6:30pm at YWCA: 489 Elizabeth St, on the Second floor.
All women welcome!
Last Mtg the collective decided on the "End Global Violence Against
Women" theme.
There are many feminist campaigns already organising in Melbourne: Women
in Prisons; Fairwear; End Trafficking of Women; and Feminist Avengers
(cross-campus student feminists). Combining these issues with some from
S11, we ended up with 6 main issues for the rally:
1. End Sexual Assault Against Women and Children
2. Women's Bodies Are Not for Sale
3. End Exploitation of Women Workers in the home and workplace
4. Open the Borders Free the Refugees!
5. Stop Trafficking of Women
6. Stop the Feminisation of Poverty!
The RTN RALLY is on Oct 27th, 7pm outside the State Library.
