M1 MEETING:
THIS WEDNESDAY 22 NOVEMBER @ 6.30PM

The S11 Alliance has renamed itself M1 in preparation for a major action
against corporate power we are planning in Melbourne for May Day (May 1)
next year.
We hope to build on the great success of S11 to have an even larger and
more exciting action against global capitalism. Already some trade unions
are talking about taking strike action on May 1.
Details of the action have not as yet been finalised but at our last
meeting M1 decided that we would have a blockade of major corporate
target/targets in the city combined with an anti-corporate festival. We are
calling on unions to take strike action to build the campaign. We are
consulting with other progressive groups about the exact target (we are
suggesting that we assemble at the Stock Exchange and then blockade
corporate targets in the entire city block around it) and hope to finalise
it at this week's meeting.
So come along to this week's meeting and help get the campaign rolling.
