Dear Leftlink,
I'd like to ask some questions to the discussion on s11 and the
anti-globalisation protest movement.
I'm researching (Honours in the Department of Geography, Faculty of
Science, Australian National University) what the Australian
Environmental Movement can do in a period of government disinterest/
antipathy. I'm particularly interested in the role of alliances,
such as red-green-black alliances, and others in the
anti-globalisation protest movement.
I'd like feedback on the following questions:
Are you affiliated with any group that participated in s11?
What has been your involvement with the s11 process?
How has your experience of the s11 process been?
What do you think are the messages and aims of s11?
Do you think s11 etc have been successful? Why/why not?
How do you see the relationship between the s11 process and the
broader community?
Do you think there is a difference between the perceptions of the s11
process by those involved and those observing? Why/why not?
What next after s11 etc? Will you continue to be involved?
How important do you think has the Internet been in the s11 process?
There has been much talk by protesters of having fueled debate and
dialogue. How do you see this?
What is your source of feedback on s11 etc?
Are there any other comments you'd like to make?
Regards
Lisa Blanch
