EAST TIMOR
this friday the squatters and unwaged airwaves (suwa) show (11am- noon on
3cr) will be featuring a lengthy interview with a technician from the east
timor community computer project. rowan has recently returned from timor
and will be discussing conditions in timor and the continuing struggles of
ordinary people there for justice and a decent standard of living. He will
also discuss the state of the project which is aiming to both establish a
community run and owned computer centre for education and to continue
providing NGOs, schools and others with free computers and training.
FREE KOORI AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER FLAGS
the suwa show would also like to remind people that all australian citizens
(and anyone who wants to claim they are one) are entitled to one free koori
and one free torres strait islander flag from their local federal member of
parliament. so look them up in the phone book, give them a call, get your
flags and then fly them on january 26th, invasion day.
p.s.- you can also get an australian flag should you wish to save one for
later burning or desecration.
