The Socialist Alliance is standing for the first time since it was founded
in March, in the Aston by-election.

The campaign is highlighting why economic rationalism has to go, and is
calling for the GST to be scrapped, a fight for jobs, a huge increase in
public transport in the area, and more money for state schools.

Candidate Josephine Cox, 25, lives in Dandenong North and is a La Trobe
student. She was proud to have been involved in the Jabiluka Action Group
and to have been on the blockades at S11 and M1.

You are welcome to help with any activity listed below. Donations are also
needed: make cheques payable to Socialist Alliance and send to GPO Box
1473N, Melbourne 3001.
