The Greens will launch their Melbourne City Council candidates on Tuesday
12 June, including a full slate of councillors and a Lord Mayor/Deputy
Mayor team. Greens Councillor David Risstrom will head the councillor ticket.

The abolition of wards and the big business big dollars being thrown at the
Mayoral race means residents will struggle to be heard in the next term of
council. The Greens, with their strong commitment to grassroots democracy,
will 'practice what they preach' by running a series of residents' forums
throughout their campaign - and beyond (if re-elected). The first of these
is planned for North Melbourne and it's this Thursday.

* Wednesday 13th June 1-2 pm Greens Vision Forum on Social Justice at
Manchester Lane 234 Flinders Lane Melbourne with Nic Francis Executive
Director of the Brotherhood of St Laurence

*  Thursday 14th June 7.30pm - 8.30pm North Melbourne - 3 Crowns Hotel
corner Errol and Victoria Sts.

If you can't make it to these events, there's a whole series of these
public meetings right through the campaign. More details on the website
from Monday night at http://www.melbourne.greens.org.au

Please feel free to pass this message onto others who may be interested.

Cheers,

David Risstrom
