Literary Supper - Writer Susan Mitchell, Splitting the World Open
The Celtic Club will be hosting a literary supper featuring writer,
journalist and broadcaster Susan Mitchell on Monday 9th July at 7.30pm.
Seventeen years after Tall Poppies was published, Susan Mitchell has
returned to some of her original subjects including Maggie Tabberer, Pat
O'Shane, Anne Summers and Robyn Archer, to update their stories.
In narrating their lives she looks back on two decades of successful women,
asking questions about their individual and collective achievements: public
and private. The results are intimate, candid and revealing. And for the
first time, she splits open her own world and tells her own stories. With
the same gutsy humour and the same addiction to truth, she links her journey
to those of her subjects.
Date: Monday 9th July
Time: 7.30pm
Introduction: Mary Crooks, Executive Director, Victorian Women's Trust
Tickets: $10 (inc supper)
RSVP: Friday 6th July
Bookings: Erin or Sally on (03) 9670 6472
