The 1951 Refugee Convention guarantees anyone the right to flee
persecution without papers. Current Australian refugee policy brands such
people as "illeagals" and imprisons them in places like Maribyrnong
Detention Centre. On the 5oth anniversary of the Convention take a stand
for justice and refugee rights...
Demand:
� Abolish mandatory detention
� Close the detention camps
� Permanent not temporary visas
� End racist scapegoating of refugees
