Six protesters have been shot dead in PNG by Police during peaceful protests
against privatisation policies forced on PNG by the International Monetary
Fund/World Bank
and backed by the Australian government. The protests have been led by
university students but have been backed by large numbers of PNG people
including
the PNG Trade Union Congress. This meeting will explain why PNG people are
protesting and build solidarity for their struggle.
