SAVE THE REFUGEES - EMERGENCY REFUGEE ACTION - SYDNEY
THURSDAY, 30 August - 12.30 pm @ John Howard's office
70 Phillip St, Sydney City.
John Howard, with the support of the Federal Labor Opposition have stepped
up their racist agenda in relation to refugees. Currenlty 430 people,
including women and children most of whom are from Afghanistan are stranded
at sea. The Australian government has refused to let them land and as has
the Indonesian government.
The Burwood Socialist Alliance has called a emergency action to protest the
disgraceful position of both the government and Federal oppposition and
calls on them to allow the refugees to reach safe harbour on Christmas
Island.
Speakers will include activists from the Free the Refugees campaign, Refugee
Action Collective and Socialist Alliance.
