SEND A MESSAGE OF SUPPORT TO THE JAILED S11 PIE THROWER
Marcus is into his second week of the one month jail sentence he recived
for pieing Stve Bracks to highlight police violence at S11. He is due for
release on October 20th. So far he is doing well on the inside and has
appreciated all the messages of support sent to him so far. If you want to

Marcus's sentence was meant to act as a message to the whole of the
activist left. That the state is perfectly willing to use its power to
imprison dissenters and is going to try to use this power to break the
rising anti-corporate globalisation movement. By showing solidarity with
those imprisoned by the state for political crimes we show the state their
violence and jail won't be allowed to defeat us.
A number of fundraisers are also being organised to help cover Marcus's
fines and loss of income that he has incurred through jail. A comedy/music
night fundraiser and Welcome Home party will be held on the 25th of
October. If anyone knows any performers or would like to help please get in
tough. A political poetry night will also be held on Oct 20th in Belgrave.
