Dear Friend and Comrades,

We are the Chilean Popular and Indigenous Network. We are a
non-profitable community group who works in solidarity with the
Indigenous community and grass-root Organisations in Latin America,
focuses on Chile during 2001.

We have been actively working since 1994; one of our important
objectives is distribute current information about the indigenous
communities, social and political events in Latin America that are
relevant for the Australian and Latin American communities. We carry
out this task by publishing an informative bulletin every two months.

Our activities are funded by its own members and any money raised is
sent to the Chilean Indigenous community to support the two projects
that we have been supporting since 2000. We also support political
prisoners and their families, Independent trade union movement in
Chile. We proudly support any struggle in Australia that supports human
and Indigenous rights.

In this moment we are supporting with all our effort and possibilities
the current campaign to stop the injustice war against poor nations,
such as Afghanistan, we must react to this action carried out by rich
countries which has the only objective to dominate the people and bring
us a new kind of world where exploitation and barbaric society will take
in place by Globalise Capitalism, the only thing we have and must do is
to oppose it, enough is enough.

Finally we would like to extend a warm invitation to our activity.
"Fiesta Latina" Solidarity Latin Dance", with 7 pieces live latin band
