Vigil for Peace 24 hours a day 7 days a week State Library
Lawns Swanston and Latrobe streets Opposite Melbourne Central Station.
Drop in anytime to pick up, leaflets &posters & help build the anti war
movement. Bring a sleeping bag , tent and/or musical instrument, art
materials.
18th October Thursday 1.30 pm Nation Wide High School students and
Victorian TAFE students Walk-Out & In Melbourne students will rally at
Flinders Street Station Steps. Initiated by Resistance , Endorsed by YSL
and VTSAN ( Young Socialist League and Victorian Tafe students and
Apprentices Network.)
18th October Thursday 3pm Free concert for peace State Library lawns.
Initiated by YSL & VTSAN.
19th October 4pm-5pm Friday, petition stall against war in front of
Timezone Flinders Lane& Swanston Street followed by 5pm meeting of Youth
against War at Ross House, 247 Flinders Lane
20th October Saturday 11 am - Anti-war rally in Richmond, cnr Bridge Rd
and Gleadell Sts, Richmond Initiated by Richmond residents against the
war.
21st October Sunday 2pm - Another big anti-war rally, City Square, Collins
and Swanston Sts, City Organised by ANSWER. (Act Now to End War and Racism)
22nd October Monday 6.30 pm (&every Monday) ANSWER (Act Now to End War and
Racism) Anti-War Organising Meeting ,Council Chambers Trades Hall Victoria
& Lygon St South Carlton.
27th October Saturday 12 noon - Anti-war speak out, Victoria Market, cnr
Elizabeth and Victoria Sts, City.
