Women in Black Vigil
Adelaide

SILENT VIGIL AGAINST WAR AND AGAINST MILITARISATION
on the steps of Parliament House
Wednesday 30th January, 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm

We invite all women to join our silent vigil in protest against
ongoing military violence. War is never a solution to human
conflicts and a so-called "war on terror" is a contradiction in
terms, a convenient excuse by repressive governments to progress
their own oppressive agendas. Real security is possible but it cannot
come from a cycle of escalating violence which merely begets more
violence.

Wearing black clothing and adopting the silence enforced on the
victims of violence, we will mourn the dead and express our
opposition to all forms of violence. Please join us to call on the
Australian Government to pursue justice through the channels of
international law and to step back from lending further support to
military violence.

Apologies for any cross posting of this notice. Please forward.
