The launch for Denise Dudley's Yarra City Council election campaign is
on Tuesday 19th March at the ParkView Hotel, cnr St Georges Rd +
Scotchmere Sts, North Fitzroy from 7pm.
Denise stood for the Socialist Party in a byelection in the Nicholson
ward (North Fitzroy and North Carlton) last October and received over
30% of the vote. Her preferences meant the Greens won the seat. Since
then the two parties plus progressive individuals have created the Yarra
Alliance to work together in the area and knock off the right-wing ALP
leadership of the Council.
