The Socialist Party organising a series of 12-seater minibuses leaving
from Trades Hall in Melbourne (cnr Lygon St and Victoria Sts, Carlton
South) in two waves. We are going to be part of the broad alliance of
organisations and individuals travelling to Woomera from all over the
country that weekend. Be part of history!
One wave leaves at 8am on Thursday March 28th - getting to Woomera at 12
midnight on that night.
The next one leaving 6pm Thursday from the same place, arriving Woomera
on the Friday morning.
Seats are about $80 each. But with sponsorship from unions, individuals
etc we hope to get that amount down to about $30 or $40. People should
bring a torch and sleeping bag. The question of food will be decided
later. An information day for the visit will be held at 7pm at Trades
Hall on Tuesday February 26th. All welcome.
The Socialist Party believes racism is inherent in capitalism, to
paraphrase Malcolm X. We say to working people that unemployment, the
crisis in public health and education etc is the fault of the capitalist
system not migrants or refugees. We are socialists and
internationalists, linked to 34 similar parties worldwide in the
Committee for a Workers' International.
