Dear colleagues,

StopMAI is planning another Perth globalisation convention, on 23
November 2002. Invitations are about to be issued to organisations for
co-sponsorship and/or participation in designing and organising the event.

It is proposed that we especially explore grassroot solutions to the
worldwide subservience of governments to purported 'market forces',
amounting to the dominant interests of global corporations and their agents.

A most promising direction is offered by the International Simultaneous
Policy Organisation (see http://www.simpol.org ) whose Australian
convener Dr Doug Everingham has expressed interest in participating in
the convention.

I would welcome proposals for other guest speakers, relevant papers,
workshops, etc. Please pass this request on to all interested contacts.

Details of the March issue of our newsletter appear below.

Kind regards

Brian Jenkins
