The government hopes to push its proposed new anti-terrorism laws through 
the Senate some time after June 17.Despite widespread public opposition 
forcing some changes, there are still significant concerns with the laws.

* how the legislation could criminalise some union activity and social 
movements
* new ASIO powers that will allow the detention of people incommunicado
