Just a reminder that
this FRIDAY JULY 12 at 7.30pm
there'll be a benefit film screening for
Barricade Books/Infoshop
at the New Council Chambers, Victorian Trades Hall
(cnr. Lygon & Victoria Streets, Carlton) of the
following films:
PAINT IT BLACK
Anarchism, Urban Uprising & the Mainstream News Media
&
BREAKING THE SPELL
Anarchists, Eugene & the WTO.
Both films are from the US, about an hour long,
document anarchist resistance to 'corporate
globalisation' and are heartily recommended... not
coincidentally, they also feature heaps of footage
of people fucking shit up and really neat soundtracks.
Entry is $8 waged / $5 concession and the films run
from 7.30pm - 8.30pm (PIB) and from 9.00pm - 10.00pm
(BtS) with a half-hour intermission.
There'll also be a Barricade book and food stall and
happy hour ('Happiness is just a Flaming Moe Away!')
at the Trades Hall bar is from 4.00pm - 7.00pm.
