This one-day symposium at Deakin University will bring together original contributors and other commentators to discuss the "Then and Now" of Australian capitalism 1972-2002. Participants will be reflecting upon the significance of the book, the subsequent development of Australian capitalism and a range of contemporary perspectives on the debates, theories and political problems addressed in 1972.
