The Socialist Party standing Steve Jolly in the seat of Richmond in last
Saturday's state election obtained a modest 2% of the vote.
The party acknowledges the results of the Socialist Allaince in gaining
2.5% in both the seat of Footscray and Lara. The Socialist Party also
acknowledges the performence of the Greens who got 27% of the vote in
the seat of Richmond and did very well in the seat of Melbourne.
