THE WALL
presented by Janine J. Cowie Management
---------------------------------------------------
A young woman books into room number eleven in a decrepit hotel room in
the hope of finding her father. Her only clue is that her mother stayed
in this room 26 years ago, and that night saved her life. By sheer
coincidence, Phil and his brother Peter have booked into the same room.
Phil also stayed in room number eleven 26 years ago, and that night
saved his life.

What unfolds is a story of people being thrown together by coincidence,
and by learning the truth about their lives, they learn to trust in
their own destiny. The Wall explores the relationship between
coincidence and destiny spanning three time frames, (1976, 2002, 2012).
The Wall is a comedy/drama written by Melbourne actor and writer Kirsty
White, and runs for 60 minutes.

AUSTRALIA'S PACIFIC SOLUTION
Film screening
--------------------------------------------------
THE DOCUMENTARY PRODUCED FOR 4 CORNERS THAT THE ABC REFUSED TO SCREEN!!

"Australia's Pacific Solution" is a documentary about the Nauru
Detention Camps and will be followed by a presentation by the
film-maker, Kate Durham.

In June 2002, Kate Durham assisted the BBC documentary maker Sarah
MacDonald to portray the Pacific Solution for a world audience, and for
the ABC's "Four Corners" program. The ABC declined to show the
documentary, in spite of great reviews and the strong public reaction
when it was broadcast on British and European networks at the end of
September.

The program reveals the squalor of the Nauru detention camps, as well as
the brutality - and even torture - perpetrated by our defence forces on
shipwrecked asylum seekers. It introduces the opposition party of Nauru,
and survivors who lost family members at sea. It also speaks of Kate's
arrest and assault by the manager of the camps in Nauru.

A recent showing at RMIT sold out. Don't miss this special repeat
screening at Trades Hall.

"Tough Leadership"
- to the tune of "Onward Christian Soldiers"

Onward token army. You have naught to fear.
Warlike Johnny Howard leads you from the rear.
Hear his sabre rattle, clear our warship's decks.
See the lust for battle gleam behind his specs.
See the smoke of battle, hear the bugle's notes.
Watch the man who leads us trade your lives for votes
See the flare of rockets, hear the roar of guns.
See the man who leads us sacrifice our sons.
Forward Aussie soldiers, naught your aim can spoil.
Helping Bush's cronies to Iraqi oil.
Forward token army, You have naught to fear.
Gallant Johnny Howard leads you from the rear.
- Maurice Fairfield.
