Community BBQ of Friendship between Refugees who are TPV Holders and
other Australians.
The Al Amel(Hope) TPV Association invites you to share food, stories and
conversation * and enjoy a community day together.
What will be happening?
* Halal Kebab BBQ prepared by Iraqi TPV holders
* TPV holders will share their experiences of seeking protection in
Australia.
* Children's activities, including face painting and dance
* Soccer
* Opportunity for conversation between us all
Al Amel will be preparing delicious Iraqi meats, but please bring a
plate of salad to share. This is a waste-free picnic so please bring
your own plates, cups, cutlery and something to sit on.
When? Sunday 1st June :: 11am - 4pm::
Where? Yarra Bend Park, at the big shelter, Westfield Reserve, cnr
Heidelberg Rd and Yarra Bend Rd( Map 30, H12). Please park carefully -
there is a small car park, otherwise along the two main roads.
Come along and support the campaign to give refugees on temporary
protection visas (TPV), permanent protection and the opportunity to
rebuild their lives in Australia
