Calling all women and men who have dared to change the world. Hope to
see you at this film on Friday October 3rd.
What would YOU do for a good cause? This bunch of women did it all -
the 'full auntie', so to speak.
But there's no need for you to get naked, just come to this movie, and
help raise some much-needed money for Friends of the Earth - your local
grassroots connection to global social change and environmental
sustainability.
This film tracks a group of middle-aged country English women who posed
nude for a calendar. Thinking that they would raise a little money for
Leukemia (after they discovered that one of them, and one of their
husbands, had the terminal illness) they went on to become famous,
raising millions. The movie is a fictionalised version of the true story.
"warm, winning and sexy" - Reuters.
Starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, with soundtrack by Patrick Doyle.
We are hoping to have a massive collection of women and men from all
around the place who have and are changing their world for the better.
You know what FoE will be forced to do if we don't see you there!
