Hello Bill
from the pictures It dose not look like template work can be done on this
machine.(but I could be wrong?) I still think that is one neat machine!

Roger,
Thanks for the photographs. I was wondering how they'd look.
The frame is that of an Arty for certain, but it looks like one of the
newer artys that have an 11inch swing rather than the 6inch. (I'm
told the arty cnc's have that. The gantry looks different from the
cnc, and I think the gears look different from the current manual
models.

Hi guys
Just an up-date, there will be a new manual machine very soon available in
36" & 58" versions and a pictures is attached. I have sold one of the 58"
models and it incorporates some of the improvements or advances that have
been requested in this groups narratives, but they come at a cost however
for those who want to go from manual to CNC in the future that has been
taken care of as this is basically an Arty chassis and of welded
construction.
Until I see my machine I cannot tell you much more but I believe this is
about as good as it gets.
Regards
Roger

Hello All,
With the 900 (48 inches) and 1200 (72inches) being the only ornamental
mill
models left, I would like to see machines that can be made from plans with
readily available parts (such as 80/20) for different sizes--3', an 8',
and
a 10'. Proposed plans could reflect different price ranges and
capabilities, allowing people to build what they can afford or what they
need.
And I still think it would be a great idea for conversion plans for 900s
and
1200s.

are identical. As I said before I am no wiz at customization, but it looks
to me that one could take the lower rail & use it to extend the upper. One
could then use wood to hold the head & tailstock. It would have to be
quite
good, to keep the headstock & tailstock in alignment & to accomadate the
gear box, but many of you might be good at this. Just an idea, that might
have promise??? maybe not....

I would get very hard wood, like Lignum vitae and make rails myself. One
could surely use router bits to make the openings for the hardware. & I
bet
one could try this and get a usable rail.
