I use acraglas gel from www.brownells.com
Very easy to work with,butter-smooth consistency, 50/50 mix, shrinks less than
1/10th of 1%, comes with brown & black die.

I have used the 5 minute epoxy and model paint for color to fill in knots. Mix
the paint to the color you need and it will only take a drop in each small
batch of epoxy.
